Jeju Walking Weather Report
Typhoon Malakas begins to influence Jeju properly. Looking at a high of 30c this morning before falling back to 27c later on. Cloud cover. Winds moderate to gentle. Rain 1-4mm this morning with 5-9mm forecast for the afternoon. Updates throughout the day as the weather situation changes. Check air quality map.
Akajabong is still happening, but if you decide to venture out independently then please exercise common sense.

Sometimes walkers email and ask about the animal dangers while on the trail. South Korea and Jeju Island do have wild ticks that carry SFTS.
On September 15, 2016, a 50-year-old man was diagnosed with SFTS after a tick bite while cleaning his ancestors tomb a week before.
Between 2014-2015 there with 16 patients and 1 death from SFTS on Jeju.
Across the whole of South Korea there were 134 patients and 37 deaths.
