This is not strictly Jeju Olle Trail news, however, a number of international walkers do include a hike up South Korea’s tallest peak while on the island.

A light frost and ice was recorded up at Witsae Oreum (1,668m – Yeongsil, Eorimok, Donnaeko courses which are all non-summit routes) and Jindalbat Shelters (1,489m – final shelter on Seongpanak summit route).

This frost and ice is 11 days earlier than 2017.

Morning temperature lows of -3 °C  and -3.7°C were recorded at Witsae Oreum and Jindalbat Shelter respectively.
