Weather Summary

We have a high of 29°C and different weather around the island. Therefore it is hard to give a proper forecast today. A gentle wind (4m/s) will blow north east getting weaker overnight.

Overall it should be a warm day on the trail with sunshine, cloud, and some rain showers depending which part of the island you are walking around.

Jeju’s first tropical this year (2020) …30 degrees at night

The first tropical night phenomenon appeared in Jeju this year.

According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration, the lowest temperature in the northern part of Jeju was recorded as a tropical field at 28.5 degrees from 6 pm on the 19th to 9 am on the 20th.

This year’s tropical night is four days faster than last year (July 24).

The tropical night is a phenomenon in which the minimum temperature does not drop below 25 degrees from 6 pm to 9 am the next day.

In the rest of Seogwipo, Seongsan, etc, the minimum temperature was below 25 degrees during the night.

The Jeju City Office said that the temperature in the northern region was relatively high as the southwesterly winds over Halla Mountain and the temperature rises.

Due to this phenomena, the highest temperature during the day in Jeju rose to 34.3 degrees Celsius and reached the highest temperature.
