This is a special announcement posting about Route 4 for anyone searching or planning on walking Jeju Olle Trail.
From August 1 2017, Route 4 has decreased in size. It was 23.6 KM, but now it is 19 KM.
This change will not be in any English guidebook or noted in the English language elsewhere at the time of writing.
In the image below the Route 4 start point is in the circle on the right hand side at Pyoseon. The route end point is in the bottom left side at Namwon. The red square shows the general area of the change.
Overall this should make Route 4 a better walking experience. This was our longest route on the whole of the trail.
Today’s Akajabong Volunteer Guide
We have three different volunteer guided walks on the trail for Sunday, January 22, 2017.

***All walks begin from the route start point at 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted (however, please try to arrive a little early). Guided walks will be in the Korean language (with some limited English on occasions depending on volunteer) and are free of charge. Prepare suitable clothing for the weather and some snacks or drink. Walkers usually each lunch together at a restaurant (please pay for this).***
Jeju Walking Weather Report
Expecting a high of 4 Celsius today, but add in the wind and it’ll be below freezing. There is heavy snow from the mid-mountain region up to the summit of Halla Mountain. There is no snow around the coastal regions as of 8 a.m. However, we are expecting a dusting of 1 cm or less. Walking is still more than possible. Wrap up warm.
